About Amber Holbrook

A New England native, Amber spent her early career supporting victims of domestic violence and providing therapy to low-income individuals in rural community mental health settings.

After receiving her doctorate degree, Amber served in academic institutions, first directing research to improve the quality of social services, and later instructing and mentoring new social workers as a professor. During this time, she published more than 15 peer-reviewed articles, served on scientific review committees for the National Institutes of Health, and helped to mentor hundreds of new social workers.

Amber is excited for the next stage of her journey where she can focus her energies fully on her private practice with clients, assisting them in finding and experiencing their unique wholeness. In her spare time she hikes the forest trails of Western Mass, hand weaves, and tends a small homestead with her husband, cat, two turtles, and a flock of chickens.
